Who is your Orlando Florida Travel Guide?

I was born here, graduated from high school and college here and settled on living my married life here. My husband, Chris, is also a native to Florida so between us we have years of local experience.

And two, I have a hard time believing that I was put on this planet to work 60 hours a week to better someone else’s life. So I decided that I wanted to work smarter, not harder.

One day I got an email, that I thought was from my cousin but was actually an advertisement which said “look how much money these people are making with Google.”

It peeked my interest so I began to do some research on writing websites. After searching and looking around the web I came across SBI or Site Build It.

SBI is basically a service that taught me how to write, market and build a website that can help me become financially independent (I hope!) It takes all the guess work out of website building. But, I still have to put in the hard work!

The first thing I had to do when I decided I wanted to start a website was decide what I wanted to write about. I went through a couple of options that, in the end, were not going to be profitable enough to spend my time on.

I narrowed down on Orlando travel and tourism because I’ve worked in the customer service/hospitality industry my entire working career, a little over seventeen years now. Over the years I found that tourist would ask me the same questions. “What are some fun things to do in Orlando?” Or, “what is a must see while I’m here? “

So I decided why not just make a great resource for people to use before they come to Orlando, Florida.

One of the coolest things about writing a website about my home town is that I get to discover new things for myself. In an attempt to be as accurate as possible for you, my readers, I feel I must have first-hand experience.

It’s really fun to go out and try new things and then report back. It makes checking new places out around Orlando something I have to do. The best part is it’s gets me out in the beautiful Florida sunshine!

So now something that I started solely for profit has become a labor of love. I make a little bit of money each month with Google and some other affiliate companies and I keep plugging away. In hopes of reaching the American dream of being financially free and independent in the work I choose. It’s been two years and many adventures later but I’m as dedicated now as the day I started.
