This's one of the Orlando, Florida restaurants that my husbands' family loves to frequent. Every Saturday night they make the trek to International Drive to get themselves some delicious Mexican (Americanized) food. Recently my husband, Chris, and I decided to join them!

When you pull into the parking lot you’ll see plenty of parking (unlike their neighbor Cafe Tu Tu Tango .) When you walk up you’ll find a cactus lined front door.

Sometimes I look around for the Mariachi band (like the ones that go around playing on the streets of Mexico) but there aren’t any. Oh well it’s still fun anyway!

You’ll see large booths that can fit parties of six. And large tables throughout the restaurant. So even if it’s packed you will not be on top of one another.

The service is always friendly and attentive when we go to Don Pablos. They have a basket of chips and a bowl of salsa on my table before we have a chance to settle in (maybe because they know my mother and father-in-law by name?) For whatever reason we never wait long.

Everything comes in huge portions and is served with unlimited chips and salsa. The chips are light and flaky (normally.) If they’re stale just ask for a new basket. You can have as many baskets as you'd like!

Depending on who makes the salsa that day it varies from spicy to very spicy so just take a small bite when you start. But don’t worry the non-alcoholic drinks have free refills so even if it’s spicy you’re covered.

The food's really yummy. I always go for the fajitas! They’re good. Served sizzling with all the goodies. Rice, beans, guacamole, Pico de Gallo and fresh hot tortillas.

Keep that in mind when ordering. If you have no place to store leftovers you may want to share a large meal or go for a smaller meal or appetizer. Otherwise some of the food may go to waste.

Chris likes to get the three amigos. Three cheese smothered chimichangas. One beef, one cheese and one chicken. With sides of beans and rice. He eats it up every time!

Don Pablos has a large menu of everything Mexican you could want. And everything is reasonably priced. I don’t think anything is priced over $15.00.

On our last visit Chris and I spent just under $30 for two full meals and two drinks. Not bad!

I’ve heard from some sources the food is bland and unexciting. This has never been my take on things. Everything is made fresh daily, right down to the guacamole and tortillas.

Don Pablos has a great kids menu that’s sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. Plus they have a wonderful amount of vegetarian options.

That’s nice when you’re trying to one of the Orlando, Florida restaurants to suit a variety of tastes.

If you like Margarita's you’ll love Don Pablos. The glasses are huge so it'll quench your thirst (much deserved after a long day at the parks.)

Thay have a fully stocked bar if you’re craving something other than a Margarita. Plus they serve some of their most popular drinks, like the sangrias, in pitchers. That’s sure to be fun for a group.
