Giovannis Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria One of the Best Orlando Florida Resturants for Authentic Italian Food!
Giovannis Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria offers great food at a fair price. A great local restaurant with a Italian flair. Most are located in an area with surrounding
Orlando shopping
. This makes it very convenient to check out their great food after a hard day of downtime.
Walk in an you’ll discover a wonderful, relaxed setting. With old school furnishings and big booths to accommodate large family gatherings and old world paintings hanging on the walls. My family and I love to visit Giovannis for special occasions and for lunch or dinner any other day just because it’s awesome!
They have everything an Italian restaurant should have. The menu is huge! They have pizza, subs, calzones, salads, pasta and even steak, veal and chicken. There’s sure to be something for everyone in your party.
If you’re looking for some New York style pizza, this would be the place to find it. It has great flavor and they have a variety of toppings to choose from. The price of pizza can get a little high but that’s because you get quality, fresh ingredients.
Pizza toppings include things like fresh garlic, broccoli, spinach, eggplant, artichoke, meatballs. And of course regular things like pepperoni, pineapple, sausage, ham, onions....you know the norm. You can even get the pizza by the slice if your aren’t that hungry or if your wallet will not allow for a whole one.
The cost of the meals on the menu are in the medium range. The food isn’t cheap but it isn’t over the top either. If you want to save a few bucks you should visit during lunch time. They have smaller portions for a smaller price. Each meal will cost you anywhere from $8.00-$16.00 during lunch depending on what you decide to get.
If you go to Giovannis Monday-Friday from 11am-4pm you can catch the lunch combo specials. With a slice of pizza and a house salad starting at five dollars and change. Or, you can get a sub with house salad or soup for $8.00. Not a bad deal.
Also at lunch time you can get lunch sized portions and prices. Most of the nightly dishes can be ordered off the lunch menu for $3-$5 off.
The dish I normally get is Capellini Primavera which costs $13.99 at dinner but for lunch it becomes a more affordable $8.99. It’s an angel hair pasta that’s tossed with tons of veggies and their own special sauce. It’s a nice, light pasta dish that gets me filled up and satisfied. Even with the lunch portions I end up with leftovers for the next day.
Dinner prices start at $10.99 for things like your traditional manicotti and stuffed shells to $25.99 for surf and turf. Then you have your middle of the road dishes at $16.99 which includes things like Shrimp Scampi, Veal Marsala, and Chicken Florentine. With the extensive menu everyone is sure to find something they like.
If someone asks me where the best Italian food in Orlando, Florida is I tell them Giovannis!
Most Giovannis offer a full service bar as well. With top shelf brands that you would find at other Orlando Florida restaurant. Plus there’s big screen TV’s at the bar for sports and shows.
* Giovinnos not a place you want to visit if you’re on a time crunch. If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat you should check out

The staff at Giovannis is very friendly and they take care of you. There are only a few servers on at a time so they may have a few tables. Just be patient and they’ll get to you.
Giovannis is a good place to go if you want to relax and enjoy your meal. Everything is made to order so it may take more time than in your typical restaurant. But good things come to those who wait. Everything comes out warm and inviting.
You have to try some garlic knots when you visit. Not the best thing for the waistline but it tastes good. They come six to an order and are pretty reasonable at $3.50.
It’s dough that’s tied in a knot, baked and then tossed in garlic, Parmesan cheese, and Italian spices. Plus they come with some homemade tomato sauce that’s to die for. You’ll be tasting garlic for the rest of the day but it’s worth it!
If you’re looking for a little lighter fare you can get a house salad with the house dressing that’s also homemade and delicious. It has lots of herbs and spices in it and it makes for a nice light garnish on your salad. Plus I like to take my garlic bread and dip it in there. You can even get the dressing in a bottle to take with you!
If you’re hungry you can go it alone. But if you have just a normal appetite consider splitting a meal or plan on bringing home (or to your hotel room) leftovers for the next day. That’s the best part for me though because that means I don’t have to cook!
At Giovannis you can be casual or formal although you’ll fit in better if you just go casual. Although, on special occassions I would recommend dressing up. It just makes for a more fun time out. Since you’ll be waiting for your meal to be freshly prepared you’ll have time to wine and dine. So why not look the part?
The weekends can get crazy so be forewarned. There’s outdoor seating for those of you that smoke or if you just want to enjoy the outside. This’s a family owned and operated restaurant. It’s a little local gem and you’ll have to travel a little way off the beaten track to check it out. But it’ll be worth it! See you at Giovonnis!
