Medieval Times Orlando
Medieval Times Orlando is a fun, interactive dinner show for the whole family. Once you pull up to the Medieval Times castle (one of the more interesting Orlando, Florida attractions) you’ll know that you’re in for some fun.
Inside you’ll find a dance floor, a bar, and a little overpriced shopping. Outside you’ll find a Medieval torture museum!
Once you walk in they’ll ask you to pose for a picture. During the Medieval Times dinner show they'll find you and show you the picture and ask you if you want to buy it.
If you don’t want to buy souvenir pictures just say “no thank you” when you’re asked to pose. If you know you aren’t going to want it, you might as well just avoid it all together.
*Make sure to bring your own camera for the variety of picture taking opportunities you will have.*
Doors open 90 minutes before the show and seating is on a first come fist serve basis. So, if you want to be front and center to all the action just plan on arriving early. Once you check in you can roam around and see the rest of the place. Plus you can catch a knighting ceremony before the show.
If you want to get in the very front you have to pay a little extra. The first three rows are reserved for the big spenders. But, there’s only five or six rows (really not bad seats anywhere) of seating so unless you get the very front row it probably wouldn’t be worth it.
If you "have to have it" I think it’s an extra $10 added to the cost of your Medieval Times tickets to get up front. Plus, you’ll get seated first.
Either way you’ll want to arrive at Medieval Times Orlando at least 30 minutes early so you’ll have time to enjoy all the other activities.
There’s no seating in the main area so if you plan on arriving early just know that you’ll either be standing or sitting on the floor. But if you have time before the show you can walk around the village and check out a medieval kitchen, torture rooms and a workshop.
Once the doors open you’ll be seated in one of six sections. The color of your hat will determine which knight you’ll be rooting for. It’s all rigged though so there’s already a predetermined winner. But it’s fun to cheer for your team anyway. Sorry to ruin it for you!
Once you are seated you’re feast begins! It starts with drinks. You can choose from beer, wine or soda. If you want any mixed drinks you can order from the full service bar for an additional fee.
You used to get unlimited beer and wine but I guess that’s been changed to only one refill. But you can purchase more if you’d like.
Then you can choose the regular meal or the vegetarian fare. Be fore warned you will be eating with your hands. I mean..... they didn’t have utensils back in Medieval times. It adds to the authenticity of it all. The kids are sure to get a kick out of it!
Now, I must caution you the food is not always the best. I mean it’s good but it certainly isn’t gourmet. The main attraction is that show. But, you will not go home hungry.
You’ll get a four course meal plus dessert. You’ll get plenty to eat and even you’re biggest eaters should be satisfied!
The entire experience is about two hours long. You’ll see jousting, hand to hand combat and a story will be told. There will be cheering and booing and ultimately it’ll be a lot of fun.
It can get very loud so if your sensitive make sure you bring some ear plugs if it gets to be too much.
*Don’t forget to tip your wait staff. They work hard throughout the show to help make it a memorable experience.*
The dress code at Medieval Times Orlando is casual but you could get dressy if you wanted to.

The performers will come out after the show to talk to everyone. You can see them, and their horses up close and personal.
The costumes are really nice and you’re sure to be impressed. You should be able to get a photo with the knight that’s wearing your color, or just your favorite.
