Old Town Orlando is one of the Oldest Orlando, Florida Attractions.
Old Town Orlando is a fun place to go if you love everything old fashioned. With brick lined streets and a store that sells everything from moon pies to old fashioned bottles of coke.

Old Town Orlando is the Best of the Orlando Florida Attractions for Old Fashioned Fun!
You’ll feel like you’ve been taken on a blast to the past at one of the most popular Orlando, Florida attractions. It doesn't matter if you want to do a little shopping, ride a few rides, or just check things out you’re sure to have a great day here.
Old Town Orlando can be found at mile marker 9. This means it’s about nine miles from Walt Disney World. You can look for the mile marker or the large ferris wheel.
Either way it’s hard to miss. Located right next to
Fun Spot
you’ll see a 150 swing that’s sure to catch your attention. Plus you’ll also see a large sling shot ride.
When you’re driving to Old Town Orlando you’ll see plenty of yummy Orlando, Florida restaurants.
Like
Boston Lobster Feast,
Kobe Steakhouse
and
Golden Corral
. If you drive a few miles down you’ll see the entrance to Downtown Disney. Across the street you’ll find Chevy’s Fresh Mex restaurant. If you want to eat at Old Town Orlando you’ll find a few bars and restaurants. Mainly with carnival like food. Burgers, fried fish, pizza and other scrumptious but not so healthy options. It really is a little town so you can get lost here for hours. Shopping, eating, drinking and playing. One of the places we make sure to visit while we’re there is the Tropical Breeze Bar because it offers great drink specials and decent food. You can even go there and get a 100 ounce beer! I don’t like beer that much but for those of you that do you’ll be set. Old Town Orlando had 75 places to shop, 8 places to eat and 18 amusement rides. Including a little kiddie park for the little kids. Making it fun for the whole family!

There’s also other rides like a roller coaster, a big ship thingy that swings back and forth, bumper cars and a race track.
The rides can get a little pricey though. It’s a little cheaper if you buy them in bulk or purchase an all day band if you plan on riding more than one or two rides.
The shops at Old Town Orlando are very unique and unusual. I love to visit the pearl shop that offers jewelry that’s ready to receive a brand new pearl. You even get to open up the shell to see what type of pearl is waiting for you. It’s a very cool place.
There’s also a store filled with Disney stuff, a salt water taffy shop, an old country store and tons of other original shops. Sometimes the prices are a little high but you’ll be able to find things here that you can't find any where else.
If you can only visit Old Town Orlando once during your stay in Orlando, Florida I would recommend Saturday so you can see the classic car show. You’ll be able to feast your eyes on some of the coolest cars from the past.
Get there early when the cars begin to line up and have the opportunity to peek under the hood and check out the interior.
It’s fun for those of you that love cars (and enjoyable for those that aren’t that into it.) There are even a few classic English cars to check out as well.
Saturday night is when Old Town Orlando has their classic car show. Cars that were made in 1974 and earlier are on display beginning at 1pm. The cruising starts at 8:30pm.
Friday nights you’ll see cars and trucks made between the years of 1975-1987. Those cars starts arriving at 5pm and the show begin at 9pm.
Also on Friday and Saturday nights you can see Live bands play on the main stage. Take a seat and enjoy the show!
Thursday you can see all sorts of motorcycles including choppers, domestics and foreign on display starting at 6pm.
If you want to stay and watch any of these parades make sure that you secure a comfy spot before it begins. Otherwise you’ll find yourself on your tippy toes trying to see over the crowds.
There are plenty of places to sit down in the strip in the middle of the two brick roads. Get a seat there and your golden. You’ll have a good view and a place to sit down. The car show will commence rain or shine.

You'll see tons of Dodge Challengers, Ford Mustangs, Volkswagen Beatles and so many more. We even saw an Old School fire truck last time we went. If you love cars you’re going to love Old Town Orlando.
My favorite thing to do at this atrraction in Orlando, Florida is to visit the Old Town Gallery. At
Instant Ancestors
you can get your picture taken in gangster gear, old western get ups or even an 1800's bridal gown. Then they color it in antiquey looking color. Not quite black and white. Chris and I go there every other Valentines Day to get a new shot. It's fun to see how we’ve grown over the years. We even went and got a wedding picture right before we got married. That’s why they call it
Instant Ancestors.
You take the picture and it looks like someone in your family 100 years ago. It would definitely be a fun keepsake from your trip to Orlando, Florida. There’s also a game room that you can go to have a little fun. With ski ball, lets make a deal and lots of other games. Don’t waste your money on the large claw games that promise a WII system or a $500 gift card. I’ve watched serval dozen people try and fail again and again. I’m pretty good at crane games so I can tell the ones that pick up and the ones that don’t. These don’t! Take your dollar and spend it in the arcade. At least there you’ll get a ticket or a few minutes of entertainment. If you’re really adventurous you can ride Old Town Orlando’s mechanical bull. It’s fun to watch too. You’ll see kids and adult attempt to tame the wild beast.

There’s a nice mix of local and tourists walking around. One complaint I hear is that unsavory folks walk around drinking and smoking.
This can be true but I have always found that most people are just there to have a good time. It’s easy to make a new friend or two here because it just a fun, laid back environment.
Old Town offers free admission and free parking. Sometimes on the weekend if you get there later in the day you’ll have to park pretty far away. So bring some good walking shoes.
If you get there earlier you can get better parking and also have the opportunity to check out the classic cars as they arrive.
There are several hotels located near Old Town Orlando. Many of which are very affordable. Plus they often offer free shuttles to Universal, Disney World and Sea World. That’s worth staying there in itself. And they are located in the busiest tourist section in town.
*Make sure that you don’t park in the parking lots of the surrounding hotels unless you’re staying there. Otherwise you will quickly be towed.*
You may have noticed that the address of Old Town Orlando is actually located in Kissimmee (pronounced Kis-em-ee not Kiss-a-mee as many tourist like to call it.)
Kissimmee is pretty much Disney Town. This is where all the Disney tourist stay. Plus it’s much more affordable than Orlando, Florida is. It’s only a few miles outside of Orlando city limits.
If you’re looking for an old fashioned good time look no farther than Old Town Orlando!
