Things in Orlando for kids to do may seem like no brainier. But if you look around you’ll see there’s more to do than just Disney World. Here are a few of the best activities in Orlando for you and your little ones.

*Monkey Joes is an indoor bounce house that you and your kids are sure to love! Geared towards kids 12 years and younger this place has slides, jumps and obstacle courses. There’s nothing else quite like it in Orlando for kids.

*Lake Eola is a well known local favorite. You could rent a swan shaped paddle boat and paddle around the lake, have a picnic, let the kids play in the park.



Or, just take a nice stroll around. The lake is less than a mile around but very scenic. It would be a good way to get the little ones good and tired.





*Green Meadows Petting Farm is sure to be a favorite for your kids. They get to milk a cow, ride a train, go on a tractor ride and pet all the animals. It’s a good way to spend some fun time outdoors.

*Check out the Orlando Science Center for some fun and education. With plenty of things for younger kids to do and see this would be a great way to spend the day.

*Go to the Peabody Duck march in the center lobby of the Peabody hotel. Everyday at 11 am a special elevator opens and out walks five North American mallard ducks, four hens and one drake.

They waddle their way down a red carpet and into the lush fountain, found in the center of the Atrium lobby, where they stay until 5pm every evening.

Then they reverse the proceeding by marching back through the lobby, back into their elevator, and back to their penthouse suite!

*Go shopping at Flea World/Fun World. Flea World is for you, Fun World is for them!

*Check out any one of the beautiful Florida Springs. Get a chance to see a manatee. Or, just cool off in the 72 degree waters.

If you hit up Ponce De Leon springs springs you’re kids are sure to love making their own pancakes at the Old Spanish Sugar Mill.

Or, check out Kelly Park springs where the spring run is long and relaxing.

Go to the mouth of the spring at Blue Springs and watch the water bubble up from underneath the earth!

*Check out the glow in the dark mini golf at the Festival Bay Mall. This would be a great way for you and your kids to have a little fun for a few hours.

*Have a chocolate party at Farris and Foster’s Chocolate Factory. Your kids will have a blast making their own chocolate creations!

*Go to Leu Gardens and have a picnic. Or, tour the grounds and check out the butterfly garden. This’s sure to be an attraction in Orlando for kids they will not forget.

The beautifully maintained gardens also offers an organic vegetable garden, a rose garden and tons of beautiful walking trails.

*Check out the Orlando Repertory Theater. This’s a theater specially geared towards families. With classics like hairspray plus new age shows there’s sure to be something that will delight your little ones. Plus it doesn’t costs and arm and a leg!

*Take a scenic boat tour in Winter Park. Winter Park is only a short drive from Orlando but it will be worth it. You’ll get to take an hour long boat ride and see some beautiful houses and more.

*Visit Gatorland Florida . One of the largest alligator farms around. Feed the gators, take in a show, or just walk around and see how the day unfolds.

*If you have some older kids that you’re trying to entertain check out Hard Knocks Orlando. It’s an indoor laser tag center that the boys are sure to love.

*Take the kids for a spin at Li’l 500 Go Cart Track in Maitland. Few things in Orlando for kids offers as much speed. But this place will deliver. There’s a track just for the younger kids, and two other tracks for the older kids and adults.

*WonderWorks Orlando will keep them entertained. With plenty of interactive games and activities this attraction in Orlando is sure to get them good and tired.

*Pirates Dinner Theater will be a fun attraction in Orlando for kids. It’s designed for them! They can even become a part of the show. Help root your team to victory in this fun and interactive dinner show.



*Wet n Wild Orlando is a great place for everyone to cool off from the Florida summer heat. This’s a fun place in Orlando for kids and adults. There’s specials rides just for kids.

I remember going there when I was younger and my Mom having a hard time getting me to leave. Just remember to slater on the sun screen!





*Magical Midway is a fun place to hang out and ride the rides. Although this’s an attraction in Orlando for kids there is height requirements.

If you have very little ones then Fun Spot might be a better choice for arcade games and rides.
