According to the New York Times the Orlando Premium Outlets offer 125 of the hottest designer brands. These brands include Coach, Betsey Johnson, Kate Spade, Kenneth Cole, Forever 21, etc...
The Orlando Premium Outlets have a series of shops situated in an open air mall. Formally know as the Belt Outlet and then the Prime outlets this Orlando, Florida shopping mall has really stepped up its game!
It has both designer shops ,as well as, normal everyday names including Nike, Adidas, Gap, Victoria Secret, Claire’s, Banana Republic, and so on...
Be sure to check out the website before you go to see which stores are offering discounts. Even print out coupons right from the website!
And if you sign up for their mailing list they’ll send you special offers. If you check under tourism services you’ll find a place to sign up for a coupon book that offers hundreds of dollar in savings.
There are so many great shops to choose from you may want to figure out which ones you’d like to visit first. This will save you time.
Plus it will enable you to hit the spots you want and if you have time left over you could always check out the other stores that interest you at this Orlando outlet shopping center.
The Orlando Premium Outlets can get crazy. You may find yourself parking a mile away. You could decide to have a valet park your car if you don’t want to or can’t walk far.
When I go I just assume I’ll be doing some walking. So I throw on my walking shoes and head out the door.
Then I have to turn around and go grab my purse. That’s how much I love to shop. I’m off and running!
There’s so many things you could find at the Prime Outlet including books, jewelry, toys, clothes, records, electronics, gifts, sporting goods, lingerie, accessories, makeup and so much more.
The mall even has kiosks in the middle with other items. Some things are hand bags, jewelry cleaner, makeup and mini remote control airplanes.
The people that work these stations must get paid off commission because they’ll pull you aside to show you their products.
Be careful if you allow them to get you because they’re good. Even if you don’t need the item their selling they may fast talk you into getting it.
My husband bought some cleaner that’s supposed to take scratches out of CDS and dvds. Plus clean jewelry and create streak free mirrors!
It’s still sitting downstairs under my streaky mirror. It’s pretty good for cleaning jewelry though (probably its only intended use). Good thing we bought the large bottle. Now we have a life time supply.
My point? These people will tell you anything to get a sale.
Not to say that these items aren’t useful. Just be careful not to get roped in if you don’t want or need something. The best way to do that is to avoid eye contact with these sellers. That’s how they draw you in.
Now on with the shopping! This Orlando Florida shopping mall is pretty big. You could get lost with all the twist and turns. But it’s also fun to walk around and see what the stores are offering.
There’s even a carousel for the kiddies when they need a break from shopping.
There’s a nice food court with plenty of seating. Some restaurants include Subway, Starbucks, Sbarro, China Max, and Haagen Daz.
Plus there's a few sit down restaurants as well.
Three full service restaurants include
Kafe Kalik features Bahamian Caribbean cuisine, Vinito Ristorante which offers traditional Italian, and Red Brick Pizza that serves fire roasted pizzas and sandwiches.
If none of those suit your style you could always check out
Texas De Brazil
located only minutes away on International Drive. Or, if you drive a little more down I-Drive you'll come across
Cafe Tu Tu Tango,
Boston Lobster Feast, and
Don Pablos.
Remember this's an open air mall so it may not be the best choice on a rainy day. If you do decide to go while it’s raining just remember your umbrella and/or raincoat. Or you could just buy one there :)
Most of the stores do have sale signs. But most items are only about 10-20% off of the original prices. If you look hard enough you’re sure to find a steal or two!
There’s a Disney store that’s great for souvenirs and gifts. It’s mostly out of season merchandise. But that makes for some great bargains.
Weather your looking for some great deals or just a nice day of shopping the Prime Outlet is a nice place to shop, eat and spend your day.
This place makes for some great shopping in Orlando because it's open late. You can shop until 11pm Monday through Saturday and until 9pm on Sundays.
If it’s designer brands that you seek and you don’t want to pay full price, the Orlando Premium Outlets are a great place to start the hunt!
