One of the best Orlando tourist attractions for rides and games is Fun Spot!
Fun Spot Website (opens a new window)
One of the best Orlando tourist attractions is Fun Spot. It’s a great place to go while visiting in Orlando, Florida......if you love rides, games and fun that is.
If you’re in Orlando for any length of time I’m sure you’ll catch their cheesy commercial on tv (or you can watch it on their website.)
With a crowd of people swaying to a fun spot song. Although it’s kinda corny the tune just naturally sticks in your head.
When you pull up to Fun Spot you’ll see a large Ferris wheel inviting you in. It’s kind of a small amusement park but it’s packed full of cool things to do. Including a two story arcade and a three story go-cart track!

How much does Fun Spot cost?
Unlike some other Orlando tourist attractions the *parking is always free*.
If you plan on staying for awhile you may want to consider buying armbands for all day rides and arcades for $38.00.
You can also purchase an all day arm band that includes the arcade and rides but not the go-carts for $27.00.

I say the highlight to Fun Spot is the go-carts so you may want to cough up the other $11.00 to ride those. Otherwise if you buy individual tickets for the go-carts it’ll cost you $6.00 each ride. If you were to ride twice you would have paid for the difference in the arm band.
If you only want to play the arcade games you would purchase an armband for $4.95 that allows you all day access to the games.

You could easily spend hours at Fun Spot playing video games, riding rides and enjoying their snack bar.
It’s nice to ride the go-carts and the Ferris wheel and then be able to go inside for awhile (if it’s summer time, to get away from the heat) and play some arcade games.
The concept of the arcade is nice in that you don’t have to keep pumping quarters into the machines.
Is Fun Spot good for kids?
It's a fun day for both kids and adults. Plus Fun Spot is a great place to celebrate a kids birthday. It’s nice to have someone else plan it and then clean up after it. So if you’re in Orlando, Florida during your child’s birthday this may be a good option for you.
This's one of the Orlando tourist attractions that caters to a younger crowd. With a carousel, frog hopper, tea cups, panda ride and several others for small children to choose from everyone's sure to have a great time.
If you go with younger children you can buy them a wrist band and pay a discounted price to go as their “chaperon” for your own wrist band. But you would only be allowed to ride with your child or whomever you’re being a chaperon to.
It’s nice that they have a section sanctioned off for the smaller children, unlike some other Orlando tourist attractions. That way they aren’t getting run over by the bigger kids or adults. And they aren’t in the way either. It’s really a win win for both.
There are height restrictions that you can check out beforehand on the Fun Spot website. But luckily there’s a few smaller go-cart tracks for the little ones.
Where is Fun Spot located?
There’s a Fun Spot right next to
Old Town Orlando
. You can’t miss it.
Plus there’s one located on International Drive at:
5551 Del Verde Way
Orlando, Florida 32819
When’s the best time to visit Fun Spot?
If you go during the day you’ll find a much smaller crowd. Last time I went there was only a few minutes wait time for each ride. During the evening and weekends it does become more crowded so you may have to wait a little longer.
*If you want to visit Fun Spot and spend some time there and then go back to your hotel room for a nap or out to dinner, you can simply keep your arm band and gain admission back later that day.*
If you love it so much you can return a second day and pay only $20.00 for an all day armband. Just keep your receipt from the day before as proof.
There are tons a places to sit in and around the park. Shady areas to keep you out of the sun and you’ll be able to watch your kids or friends ride the rides.
*Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and plan on your feet getting a little wet if you ride the bumper boat ride.*
I’ve heard some complaints about this Orlando tourist attractions staff being unfriendly and that they’re always understaffed. If you’re worried about this you could always check it out before you decide to spend your money there.
I didn’t have to wait long to ride the things I wanted. And everyone I came across was nice. Plus you have to remember that the people working at these places are usually young and underpaid.
Where can I find Fun Spot discounts?
If you want to save a few bucks make sure to check out this Orlando tourist attractions website. There they offer discounts and coupons.
Also you could check out the
Go Orlando Card.
Fun Spot is one of the Orlando Florida attractions that’s offered as part of the card purchase (you get the all day armband for free with this card).
What are the hours?
The hours are seasonal and vary depending on the amount of people in town. But normally on the weekends they open earlier and close later than weekdays.
Typical hours of operation are:
OPEN - 12 pm - Monday - Friday 10 am - Sat/Sun; CLOSE - 11 PM - Sun - Thursday; Midnight - Fri & Sat
Always call first or check out the website before heading over. You don’t want to get there all excited to ride some go-carts only to discover they’re closed!
Some other Orlando tourist attractions close pretty early but not Fun Spot. It’s open late so you could truly make a full day of it. If you’re into games and rides you’ll have a blast and not pay a fortune to do so.
