Orlando Ale House

The Orlando Ale House is one of the best restaurants in Orlando, Florida! The first Ale House opened in Jupiter Florida in 1988.

With fifty restaurants throughout New York, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Illinois, nine of them are located in Orlando, Florida.

Portion sizes and drink specials are hard to top at the Ale House. That's why it's a local hangout because it’s hard to beat when it comes to value.

front of the orlando ale house Orlando Ale House is not the healthiest place to eat in Orlando with its beer battered onion rings and fried mozzarella sticks.

Although they do have a few healthy options on the menu. It’s hard to chose the healthy options with all the savory starters staring you in the face.....atleast it's hard for me!

My personal favorite are the chicken nacho's. It’s a mound of chips smothered in melted cheese and yummy strips of grilled chicken. On the side they give you a plate that has lettuce, sour cream and salsa. orlando ale house chicken nachos This's one of my favorite guilty pleasures. I get it every time I go to the Ale House with a group of friends.

That’s because you have to share this monster. If you eat it all by yourself I hope you’d get your picture on the wall or something. It’s that big!

The zingers are another popular appetizer. I hear nothing but good things about them. Surprisingly I've never tried them myself (I can’t eat much after the nacho’s).

The zingers are boneless chicken wings that have a choice of nine sauce including sweet and sour, bbq and honey mustard. My cousin Billy assures me they are top notch.

Seafood choices are good (although great seafood will be found mostly on the coast).

Raw oysters, fish and chips, plus mahi mahi. They also have a good selection of salads. And some nice pasta choices.

All of this can be washed down with $5.00 pitchers of beer or a double sky vodka also for $5.00. Great drink specials all day everyday include $2.00 pints of Fosters or $3.95 shots of Jager.

Plus they have a drink of the day that only costs a buck or two. For the month of December they had Tequila Sunrise for $1.00 on Mondays, $1.00 Whiskey Sours on Wednesdays and $2.00 Planters Punch of Fridays.

When it comes to drink specials the Ale House can’t be beat!

The set up of each Orlando Ale House is a little bit different.

Some offer outdoor seating (the one by the Orlando International Airport has an outdoor bar) while others don’t (the Ale House near the Florida Mall offers no outdoor seating).

All Orlando, Florida restaurants are non smoking establishments. The outdoor seating allows you to have a smoke along with your drink or meal. Plus you can check out the local scenery.

Orlando Ale House is kid friendly although I would suggest taking them during lunch. Dinner time gets extremely busy and loud especially if there’s a game on.

I like the set up of the Orlando Ale House. When you walk in you can see it’s a split house. On one side there's the bar and all the bar activities (pool, video games, high top seating).

On other side there's booth seating with hearty wood benches and nice long dark wood tables. The booths can easily seat six.

orlando ale house sports stuff You'd think sitting away from the bar would make it a little quieter. But there are large HD TV’s throughout the restaurant so if there's a game on it gets loud everywhere.

The decor is definitely sports. With large fishing rods hanging over the tables and sports memorabilia scattered throughout.

One complaint I’ve heard about the Ale House is that it doesn’t offer that many ales. They have many of the typical ones seen at the other Orlando, Florida restaurants.

Such as Stella Artois, Sierra Nevada and Blue Moon (although at most other restaurants these are served in bottles not on tap).

If it's exotic ales you're after you might be disappointed. They do carry a nice selection of micro brews and imports though.

The Orlando Ale House is open late. Till 2:00 am. Don’t be surprised if you go out for dinner one night and find a bunch of locals having a drink after work.

This's a favorite local hangout because of its great drink specials and huge shareable starters. Plus you can make it out of there without spending a small fortune.

That’s what makes the Orlando Ale house a great sports bar!
