Pat OBriens is one of the coolest Orlando bars. You’re going to want to visit this hot spot in Orlando. It’s a replica of the bar and restaurant on Bourbon street in New Orleans. Right down to the world famous Hurricane.
This's one of those bars in Orlando that offers a variety of entertainment options to its patrons. It’s a piano bar, cajan restaurant, night club and lounge all rolled into one.
My favorite part of Pat OBriens is the dueling pianos. Two musicians duel it out on real (not electric) pianos while the audience yells out song choices. The music ranges from country to rap, depending on the crowd.
The two piano players beat the keys till their hands are on fire while the audience sings along to their favorite hits. This's so much fun! Add in one of their specialty drinks and you’ll have the time of your life.
The hurricanes are a must have if you’re going to visit this Orlando bar. They come in a tall glass that’s modeled after a hurricane lamp. One of these will get you feeling pretty nice. Two and you may forget where you are!
The coolest part to these drinks is that you get to keep the souvenir glass! Plus they taste pretty good too.
Pat OBriens offers a few choices when it come to atmosphere. When you first walk through the doors to the left you’ll see a small bar with a few tables. Plus a dark wood high top bar.
This's one of the less busy places to enjoy a drink. It’s a little dark. But it’s a cool place to walk around and look at the pictures on the wall (mostly pictures of past guests that partied here.)
Walk across the way into another bar and you’ll see where they have the pianos set up. It probably houses about 20 or 30 tables. Not a huge bar but it has a nice feel to it.
If you want to stay for the dueling piano show try to get a table near the front where the action is.
If you love to sing (like I do) you’ll have a great time hanging out in this part of Pat OBriens. The piano players are there until the last drink is served at 2am.
Sometimes the songs repeat depending on what the audience requests so if you’re there for a few hours you may hear a song or two again. But they do take requests so that keeps it pretty lively and interactive.
It’s so much fun though to sing along with the crowd. It gives me such a warm fuzzy feeling inside (it could just be the drinks) and always makes me smile. Few others bars in Orlando give me the same feeling though.
This’s a fun time for all. After 9pm you must be over 21 to enter. Make sure to carry your ID with you no matter how old you are.
Pat OBriens will not let you in if you don’t have an ID. The cover charge after 9pm is $7.00. Not bad considering the live entertainment.
If you buy a
Citywalk Orlando
party pass you can enter this Orlando bar as part of the deal. That will run you $12.00 but it will also get you into some of the other popular clubs including
Bob Marley's
and Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville.
If you just want a little conversation you can go to the back courtyard of Pat Obriens where they have several tables and chairs set up. There’s a bar out here too. Plus they have cool flaming fountains that look really pretty at night.

You may think that you’ve just wondered into the French Quarters in New Orleans. Go to the back of the courtyard to find the bathrooms. They’re up a flight of stairs and down a little hallway which makes for a fun adventure when you’re a little tipsy.

The drinks at Pat OBriens are some of the most reasonable at Orlando Citywalk considering what you get. Most of the specialty drink offer up quite a punch.
Remember you get to keep the glass so make sure you don’t leave it behind. When you walk out they have a person up front to box and bag the glasses for you. Pretty cool! I have a nice little collection in my kitchen.
*Most drinks range from $6.00 to $12.00. Plus if you go on Tuesday nights from 4pm-10pm you get buy one get one free hurricanes, specialty drinks, domestic draft beers and half off appetizers!* Be sure to try the crawfish nacho’s. Yum!
Pat OBriens is known for its great selection of drinks and entertainment. Not so much for the food.
There’s a few items on the menu that are worth trying but it’ll be nothing like you’d find in New Orleans. Most items are spicy so be sure to ask so that you’re not disappointed.
I always go for the drinks and the good time.
So if you’re looking for some live entertainment and some stiff drinks you’ll want to check out Pat O’Briens at Universal Citywalk!
