It’s an American-Brazilian steakhouse or churrascaria which is mix between a Brazilian Steakhouse with a bit of Texas flair. What that basically means is meat, meat and more meat!
Located at the end of International Drive near the Prime Outlets (also know as the Premium Outlets) this’s a restaurant in Orlando that your sure to remember. I know I do.
My husband Chris and I went to Texas De Brazil for a friends’ birthday about a year ago. It was the first time either of us had been to this restaurant in Orlando. Let me tell you it was nothing like I expected.
Once you pull up to Texas De Brazil you see a casual atmosphere welcoming you in. You can either have your car valeted or you can park in the lot behind the restaurant.

When we walked in, the place was packed! We could barely find a seat in the waiting area to sit down. I did notice that the restaurant was very tastefully decorated.
To the left of the entrance you’ll find a small bar that you can get a few drinks at before you sit down. The drinks are a little pricey but normally very strong.

The sangrias are awesome. With real fruit including pineapples! Texas De Brazil also offers a large wine selection for all of you wine connoisseurs. Be sure to ask your server for a recommendation.
If you’re planning on visiting this Orlando, Florida restaurant on a weekend, or any day for that matter, I would highly suggest a reservation. Otherwise, you’ll be waiting for people to leave in order for you to get a table.
I’d also suggest dressing up a little because this’s fine dining in Orlando. You will not be out of place in jeans and a tee shirt but you may feel a little more comfortable in something a little nicer. Plus, on their website they suggest “smart casual” attire.
Texas De Brazil gets packed and is very loud. You may find yourself trying to squeeze through the dining room to get to the salad bar.
If you’re looking for a quiet, romantic restaurant this would not be a good choice. This’s a special occasions place if you like a lively atmosphere.
Once we were seated our server came over to explain how things worked at Texas De Brazil.

You’re given a card that’s green on one side and red on the other. If you want the servers to serve you the meat their offering you keep the green side up.
When you’ve had your fill,or you need a break, you turn the red side up. You could always turn it back over when you’re ready for more. Either way you’ll find yourself pretty full by the end of it all.

Oh yeah that's what makes this one of the most unique restaurants in Orlando. There’s several servers circling the room with huge slabs of meat. They come to your table and offer it to the people with their cards facing green side up.
They have everything from beef to pork. Plus, lamb chops, legs of lamb, flank steak, sirloin and filet wrapped in bacon. Plus some chicken for you poultry lovers.
Most of the meats are served rare to medium rare (you can ask for the meat to be more well done and they will be happy to assist.) If you're a carnivore you’ll be in heaven!
If they have something you would like to be made differently all you have to do is ask. I'm not a red meat eater so I asked to get chicken that wasn't wrapped in bacon. They accomodated me by bring me an entire skewer of fresh made chicken that was seasoned with garlic. It was fresh and tasty!
The service is very speedy and attentive. Before I had a chance to blink Chris had a plate full of meat. It just kept coming! Sometimes I had to remind him to turn his card over to red so they’d stop trying to put more meat on his plate.
Make sure you go hungry or else you may not get your moneys worth. There’s plenty to choose from. Whether it be from the fresh and delicious salad bar or from the offerings of meat.
Each meal also brings a side of mashed potatoes that the entire table shares and plantians. Those are bananas that are draped in butter, cinnamon and sugar. Who needs dessert after that?
I’m not a huge meat eater so it doesn’t really pay for me to visit Texas De Brazil. Lucky for us our friend had a half off coupon for the entire table.

So I just got filled up on the salad bar which includes over 60 items. Things like soups, salad, breads, sushi, couscous, and a variety of other appetizers. You have to try the lobster bisque, it’s awesome!
If you love meat don’t be fooled and fill up on the salad bar. You’re going to want to save room for all the delicious meat that'll be at your beck and call.
Desserts are a separate charge and I would suspect vary rarely ordered. I could barely move when I was finished let alone think about dessert. But a few friends decided to go for one of the decadent desserts that I couldn't resist trying.

If you have a little room for something sweet you have to try the cheesecake. It comes highly recommended. Other desserts include Key Lime pie, Carrot Cake, Bananas Foster and Flan just to name a few.
Unfortunately, if you don’t finish your meal you can’t take it with you. So only put on your plate what you think you can eat. I like to do the sampling thing. Try a little of this and a little of that.....
The parade of meats and salad bar are all included in the set price of $47.00 per person. Drinks, dessert, alcohol and gratuity are not included in the price. The drinks, including soda come in bottles and the refills are not free.
