Walmart Super Center is Orlando Shopping Made Easy!
Walmart Super Center, the name says it all. Just like any other Walmart only......better! This place is GIGANTIC making it a true one stop shop. It has everything you could ever want or need (at a discount!)
There’s a hair salon, a deli and even a tire center. I think they should call it Walmart Super City instead of Walmart Super Center.
It kind of looks like a big warehouse. On one side you have household items like any other Walmart. With toys, bathrooms stuff, kitchen supplies, bedroom items, a pharmacy, etc... Then on the other side you have the grocery store which is what makes this Walmart super!
I buy a lot of cereal and I mean a lot. My husband and I both love Grapenuts which usually cost about $4 a box. I’ve found it here for $2.50. That’s quite a savings!
The Super Walmart also has a great deli where you can buy all your vacation essentials.
It would be a great place to buy snacks for your hotel. Not to mention it’s open 24 hours so you can do some Orlando shopping day or night!
If you’re from out of town, from across the county or even from another country, Super Walmart will be a great place for you to pick up all of those little things you left behind (or didn't want to pack.)
Also if you go to the Walmart Super Center near the tourist attractions you’ll be able to find Disney souvenirs and other cool gifts. They’re of lower quality than what you’d find at Disney World but they're also half the price!
If there’s extra time you could get your hair done, have a pedicure, withdrawl money from the bank and have lunch. All without exiting the building! You really could spend an entire day in this place.
There's flat screen TV’s for under four hundred bucks, DVD movies for under five bucks (not just taking about the cheesy ones) and Blu ray discs for under twenty bucks!
However they don’t have a very good selection of music CDS. Often they don’t carry artists that have unsavory lyrics. If you want to find good music you’ll want to check out Best Buy.
The bad thing about Super Walmart is it's always busy. But that’s because the prices are hard to beat. Especially on the grocery side.
Some people complain that Walmart's taking over. That they drop their prices really low so that no other grocery store or retailer can compete. Then once they run all of their competitors out of town they jack the prices up.
Orlando, Florida has several other choices when it comes to grocery stores and retailers. Walmart Super Center has to compete with Super Target and other large discount retailers. So that means they have to keep their prices low to compete.
Other people complain about Super Walmart’s customer service. I’ve never had a bad experience but I also try to shop when I’m not in a hurry or have somewhere to go. That way I’m more patient and tolerant of people.
So if you go to Super Walmart just plan on spending a little extra time there so you don’t get upset by other people (be it other customers or the staff). I’m willing to suffer through almost anything if I can save money :)
I like it because I can walk out with everything I need for a week. Including food for my cat, contact solution, lunch, dinner, snacks and much more for only $85.00.
That's how much I spent on my last trip to the Super Walmart. I purchased 32 items which made it $3.00 per item. And I didn’t just buy little stuff. That’s pretty impressive!
*One thing I heard was the Super WalMart Corporation allows RVs and other travelers to park overnight at any WalMart Super Center parking lot. So I called to find out for sure (there's nothing I wouldn't do for my readers.) and they said it was true!*
I was told they don’t like extended stays but if you park in the back and stay with your vehicle it would be okay for a night. That’s pretty cool if your just breezing through town and need a place to stop! Just thought I’d throw this in as a FYI (for your information).
If you’re on a budget, have some time and want to do a little Orlando shopping, Walmart Super Center has what you need. Super Walmart is a great place to stock up on, well...everything!
